Oksana Savchenko was born and lives in Kiev. She works as a journalist in the "Focus" magazine and in the Scenario Bureau. She has participated in the creation of several television series, writing scripts for short films in the framework of the project "Goodbye, Ukraine".
In 2011 she has participated in a program organized by the Royal Court Theater (London) for Ukrainian playwrights. In 2013 she has became a finalist of this program, at the result of which in March 2013 stage reading of the play "And I no longer Wonder How are You" took place in the Royal Court Theater.
In October of the same year the premiere of this play took place in Kiev "Young Theatre" (under direction of Caroline Steynbes) entitled "Take it, Love, Go away!".
2011 – Her play "Zina’s Birthday" was included in the short list of the contest "Characters" (Moscow) and became the winner of Voloshin's Contest in the nomination "Drama." In 2012 - the play " Zina’s Birthday " was included in the short list "Contest of Contests" at the "Golden Mask" festival (Moscow).
